Welcome to the Flowering Field!

As a gardening and floral lover, I was desperate to get more flowers in my life and in 2020 set about creating a flowering field on our property in Burra, NSW on the outskirts of Canberra.

Naturally I want to grow everything, but I love old fashioned flowers most of all (and if it has fragrance even better!). Our climate ranges from -10 to 40 + degrees and we enjoy four distinct seasons - which I adore. I grow with the seasons and follow organic growing and bee-friendly principles. I like to get the good bugs to do the work as much as possible! Frosts can make for a short growing season, but I pack a lot in! Like gardening anywhere there are challenges, but for me growing and sharing flowers is so rewarding and is such an important part of my life. Creating and sharing beauty is my goal. As well as growing flowers, I love anything garden related.
